My work is about process. Like life, experience adds richness to the result. The layering and texturing represent the chaotic nature of our lives and reflect the way our attentions are continually divided. But in the end, we are able to navigate the information to form a coherent whole and are fulfilled by the journey as well as the destination.

In my work, I leave artifacts of the trip I take on the way to the final solution.I have always been influenced by architecture. My work reflects a strong sense of design and structure. My father worked for Albert Kahn in the 1960’s and taught me to draw in 2-point perspective when I was 10. I received my BFA from Pratt Institute in New York City and worked in advertising and graphic design for many years before taking the leap to fine art.

It has always been my dream to be a painter when I grow up.

'Moonlight Over Crystal Cove'

September 22, 2010

The beautiful full moon tonight is peeking into my kitchen window as it rises over the hills...soon it will set on the other side, over the sea. Often when I am driving to the pool in the morning I see it setting on the water over Crystal Cove. It has a sort of mysterious energy as it illuminates buildings and beaches- rendering them in odd colors. This piece captures the orb of its glow.
